Mfr - What is Myofascial Release?

Soft Tissue Release (STR) is a way of analyzing and discharging dysfunctional myofascial limits. The process includes the use of a gentle tissue glide to the problematic locations, and also the application of a passive or active Myofascial Release (MFR) procedure. Active techniques require the usage of their palms along with other moving apparatus to apply enough pressure so as to slowly move the limitation from alignment. Passive techniques allow one to attain a more even pressure over the myofascial groove so the tissue is not damaged.

When tender tissues friction is applied to an area of limitation, it induces changes in the regional physical structures. These modifications result from the formation of scar cells and hyper-looseness of their local musculature. This produces a localized reduction of power along the long axes of motion at the root of the muscles. Thus, while the issue may seem to be isolated into the muscles themselves, the neighborhood integrity of their muscles and the underlying structures is compromised. In addition, the area of the weak muscles becomes worse in the attachment sites for the weak muscles.

A number of the common causes of myofascial release include chronic pain, pulled or strained muscles, injured tendons and ligaments, and even hip fractures. Frequently the sourc
